Cardinal's Pen is a cottage located in Shudy Camps, specifically on the south side of Cardinal's Green. This building dates back to the 15th century and features an open hall with a solar at the east end. It has undergone alterations in the 16th to 17th centuries and again in the mid-20th century. The structure is timber-framed, rendered, and has a long straw thatch roof. It is one storey high with an attic, featuring three eyebrow dormers on the first floor and small modern casement windows on the ground floor. Inside, the cottage displays exposed framing, including two bays of the open hall that have an inserted stack and floor.
