Description
Church Farmhouse is a house dating from around 1700, with an extension added in the late 18th century. It features a timber-framed structure that is plaster rendered, topped with tiled roofs. The house has an irregular plan, with additions primarily on the east and south sides of the central block, which is two storeys high. The first floor has two 19th-century windows, while the ground floor includes a doorway with a 19th-century canopy and one window.
At the east end, there is a late 18th-century addition that consists of one bay, which is also framed, rendered, and has a slate roof at a lower ridge and eaves height. This addition is two storeys tall. Projecting north from this addition is another 18th-century wing, which is framed, rendered, and tiled, featuring a side stack made of 18th-century red brickwork. This wing is also two storeys high. The south wing serves as a kitchen range; it is framed, rendered, and weather-boarded, with a tiled roof and an 18th-century red brick stack. This wing has one storey and an attic, with one dormer on the east side.
