Description

The Old Rectory is a house located on West Wickham Road, primarily dating from the 17th century but remodeled in the early 18th century. The building features a timber-framed structure that is plaster rendered, with red brick axial ridge stacks. It has a straight range with a small projection at the east end on the south side and at the west end on the back. The house is two storeys high with attics, featuring three dormers that replace the original ones and four casement windows on the first floor. There are two windows on either side of the baffle entry doorway. Inside, broad chamfer stops on the main beam and substantial studwork suggest a possible 15th-century date or the reuse of earlier materials.
