Description

This is a mid-to-late 18th century farmhouse, now divided into two dwellings, located on the West Side of South Street in Comberton. The house is constructed of brick in English bond, originally likely painted gault, and is now painted. It has a hipped slate roof with a dentil eaves cornice and two small gault brick stacks, one of which has been rebuilt. The building consists of a main range and a crosswing, with a lobby entry to the main range. The two-storey main range has three hung sash windows of twenty panes each, with flat arches over them. Three similar windows at the ground floor have segmental arches. The two-storey crosswing also has a hung sash window of twenty panes to each storey. The interior of the crosswing may retain the original staircase, while the main range has generally been modernised.
