Description

Greenways is a cottage, originally built as a pair of dwellings and now used as a single house. It dates to the 17th century and is timber-framed, with rendered plaster walls and a reed thatched roof. A prominent red brick ridge stack sits atop the roof, although the upper courses have been rebuilt in grey brick. The house has a two-bay plan, with a possible later, lower extension at the rear. It is one storey high with an attic, and includes two dormers added in the mid-20th century. The front features two flush-frame casement windows with leaded lights, and two boarded doors. A thatched kitchen wing extends to the rear, with a boarded door located almost opposite the stack in the rear wall.
