Description

BOBBINGTON C.P. SIX ASHES ROAD (east SO 88 NW side) ) 8/7 Bobbington Hall 27.6.63 II Farmhouse now house. Early C17 with mid-C19 alterations and additions. Red brick (English bond); plain tile roofs with crow-stepped gables;brick external lateral stacks with lozenge section shafts. Principal alignment east- west facing south with cross-wing to the east and rear wing to the west both aligned north-south; C19 rear extensions to the north-west angle. South front. 2 storeys and attic; about 3 bays; slightly projecting gabled cross-wing to the right, hall range to the left, 2-storey porch facing towards the left in the angle between the two. Chamfer mullioned window of 2, 3 and 5 lights with brick dripstones, mullions and frames rendered to imitate ashlar, single-light ground floor loop to porch, large C19 ground floor casements. C17 single-storey wing to the left with 2 casements and an exposed timber roof truss to the left hand gable. Segmental-headed door in left hand return of porch. Large stack to right hand return of cross-wing with attached garderobe turret. Several mullioned windows to rear and to each side. Interior modernised.
