Description
Grove Farmhouse is an early 18th-century farmhouse constructed of red brick, featuring a plain tile roof with raised verges and brick integral end stacks. The building is oriented north-east to south-west and has a wing at each end, along with four rear wings, including a staircase wing, all aligned north-west to south-east.
The farmhouse has two storeys and an attic, with storey bands and a dentilled eaves band. It includes four windows, which are casements with segmental heads, and two gabled dormers. The central entrance features an early 19th-century four-panelled door with a pilastered doorcase and a squat pediment, accessed by two semi-circular stone steps. The flanking wings are each one storey and attic, with two bays.
Inside, there is an early 18th-century dog-leg staircase with turned balusters, and the front windows are fitted with panelled shutters.
