Description
Rose Villa is a house built around 1700 and enlarged in 1809. It features coursed rubble and brick with a rendered finish. The hipped slate roof has deeply overhanging eaves supported by brackets and two brick stacks at the ends of the ridge. The building has a plain eaves band and is arranged in five bays over two storeys. The central entrance has a half-glazed four-panel door, flanked by single glazing bar sash windows, with five small glazing bar sash windows above. A datestone inscribed "J.A.G, 1809" is located between two of the upper windows. The rear wall shows partly coursed rubble, indicating evidence of an earlier core. Inside, the property contains chamfered beams.
