Description

TL 4658 WHITTLESFORD CHURCH LANE 10/316 No.3 (Storeys Cottage) GV II Cottage.Late medieval, with late C16 alterations. C17 addition and C19 and C20 renovation. Timber-framed and plastered, C19 brick. Plain tiled roof. Red brick stack with four reduced octagonal shafts. Two storeys. Cross wing jettied to main elevation to left hand of main range cased in C19 brick. Two doors to main range with C20 casement windows. Interior: Plain range originally an open hall with floor inserted and roof raised in late C16. Cross winy timbers exposed with stop-chamfered ceiling beams; crown-post roof.
