Description
Tickells Arms Public House is a building that possibly dates from the late 17th century and was rebuilt in the late 18th century. It features a timber-framed and plastered structure with steeply pitched slated roofs and red brick end stacks, which are partly painted. The building is two storeys high and has an L-plan layout on the left side, with a symmetrical three-bay facade. The entrance includes a stuccoed doorway with ogee-arched double doors that have margin glazing bars, along with a shaped cornice hood supported by console brackets and adorned with dentil enrichment. Above the entrance, there is a four-centred arched two-light casement window, and on both the first and ground floors, there are two three-light casement windows featuring oval patterned glazing bars.
