Description

Cromwell Cottage is a cottage dating to the late 16th or early 17th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It is timber-framed and plastered, with a thatched roof. A ridge stack is located to the right of the centre. The cottage is one storey and attic, with a three-unit lobby entry plan. A boarded door is set beneath a 20th-century gabled canopy, and there are three transomed casement windows and one canted bay window to the left. Three eyebrow dormer windows light the attic space. The interior features stop-chamfered ceiling beams and relined back-to-back hearths, containing a late 18th or 19th-century chimney in the left-hand room.
