The building is a mid-19th century workshop located to the south of Ivy House on Broughton Bridge Road. It features a timber frame with painted weather-boarding, along with decorative barge boards and finials. The roof is ridged and covered with pantiles, and there is a lantern with a hipped, slated roof topped by a weather vane.
