Description
No. 2 Eaton Ford Green is an early 17th century timber-framed cottage featuring wind braces. It has a linear plan with three ground floor rooms and an internal chimney, classified as RCHM type J. The building is one storey high with dormers and has three windows. The exterior is finished with colour-washed brick and plaster, topped by an old tile roof. There are four hipped dormer windows with Yorkshire sashes, as well as similar windows on the ground floor. The solid framed doorway is adorned with a cut, bracketed hood. Inside, the cottage features ceiling beams with ovolo mouldings and drawn-down stops, along with a chamfered lintel in the kitchen that has a bar-and-draw stop. Nos. 1 and 2 Eaton Ford Green are recognized as a group.
