Description

No. 4 High Street is a 17th-century cottage constructed with a timber frame featuring curved and diagonal braces, brick infill, and a brick and rubble stone plinth, all of which are colourwashed. The roof is covered with corrugated iron over thatch and has flanking rendered chimneys. The cottage has one storey and an attic, consisting of two bays. The windows are 19th-century barred wooden casements, with a pair located on the ground floor to the right. There is a boarded door in the right gable. To the left, there is a weatherboarded outbuilding that shares the same roof. Inside the cottage, there are wind-braces in the roof and a winder staircase located at the center.
