Description
No. 3 Burcott Lane is a 17th-century cottage that has been altered over time. It is constructed with a timber frame that has been refaced and infilled with brick, some of which is whitewashed. The cottage features an old tile roof that is half hipped at the west gable. A central brick chimney with a band and corbelled head is present, along with a later chimney at the west end.
The north elevation includes an outshot to the right under the continuation of the roof, which has an inset dormer. The cottage is one storey with an attic and has modern leaded casements. The west gable displays a three-light upper casement beneath a cambered retaining arch, with a modern round window to the right. The south elevation features a half-glazed door beneath a tiled hood, a two-light casement to the left, and a three-light casement to the right, along with a three-light upper casement that has a gable above it. There is a small lean-to addition at the angle with No. 1, which is from the 20th century and is not of special interest.
