Description
32 Burcott Lane is a house from the 18th century, constructed of brick with an old tiled roof. The roof is half hipped at the right-hand end, featuring a chimney to the right of center and a projecting stack against the left gable. In the center, there is one flat-topped dormer with a cornice. The building has projecting header brick eaves and is two stories high with an attic, comprising three bays. The right-hand bay was added later and includes a first-floor Venetian window and a three-light segmental-headed window on the ground floor. The two left-hand bays each have a three-light segmental-headed upper casement, while the ground floor features a central door on a canted porch with a tiled roof, flanked by a half-glazed door and a four-light window on each side, which are continuous with flanking three-light windows. The rear elevation has two unequal wings with some old brickwork, but the upper parts are 20th century with tiled gables. The left wing has a canted bay window and a chimney in the angle, while the right bay features a three-light square bay window with a tiled roof on the ground floor and a three-light casement with a tiled pentice hood on the first floor.
