Description

No. 5 Icknield Street is a 17th-century cottage constructed with a timber frame and whitewashed brick infill. It features an old tile roof and a brick chimney located at the left corner. The cottage has a two-unit plan, is one storey high with an attic, and includes dormer windows. The front has a two-window range, with a 20th-century door and 19th-century iron casements. Both the door and the ground floor windows are adorned with mid-19th-century tile hoods. The right gable end was rebuilt in 19th-century brick, and there are 20th-century additions at the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
