Description

Nos. 20 and 22 High Street is a house that has been converted into offices, dating from the 17th century. It features a timber frame with brick and rendered infill at the rear, while the front is believed to be from the 19th century and is currently roughcast and color washed. The building has a 20th-century tiled roof, and the chimneys have been removed. It has an L-plan layout with a gable end at the rear, standing two storeys high with an attic that includes a 19th-century casement dormer. The central entrance consists of a 20th-century glazed door, flanked by shop windows and casements. Inside, there is much exposed framing and plank doors on the upper floors. Additionally, there is a single-storey timber frame wing, along with 19th and 20th-century additions and alterations at the rear.
