Description
A pair of cottages dated to the mid-19th century, located on the north side of High Street in Bidford-on-Avon. The cottages are constructed of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, distinguished by yellow brick headers, and feature a brick dentil cornice. The roof is slate, with a brick internal stack. Each cottage is a single unit with a double-depth plan. They present as a two-storey, two-window range. Number 6 retains its original four-panelled door, while Number 8 has a flush door. Both cottages feature simple doorcases consisting of pilaster strips and a shallow hood supported by simple brackets. The ground floor has shallow rectangular oriels with glazing bars; the oriel in Number 6 is a 20th-century replacement. Number 6 has a sixteen-pane sash window on the first floor, and Number 8 has a 20th-century sash window. The interior was not inspected.
