Description

This is a 17th century cottage, altered later, located on St Neots Road in Eaton Socon. It is a timber-framed building with windbraces, constructed on a linear plan with three ground floor rooms and an internal chimney (identified as RCHM type J). The cottage is two storeys high, with a one-storey annexe at the west end. The ground floor is of colour-washed brick, while the first floor is plastered. The roof is covered with old tiles. Three Yorkshire sash windows with glazing bars are present. The doorway has a solid frame. Inside, there are chamfered beams. The cottage is part of a group which includes numbers 160, 162, 166, and 168 on St Neots Road.
