Description

No. 3 Market Hill is a house and shop dating from around 1830, designed in an L-plan. It is constructed of gault brick and features a hipped slate roof with a shallow pitch and a dentil eaves cornice. The building has two storeys, with two hung sash windows that have glazing bars in moulded architraves on the first floor. On the ground floor, there is one similar sash window on the left side and a shop window with a central mullion and four hung sashes with glazing bars. The entrance door is located to the right. There is an open-sided porch with a sloping roof leading to the shop and entry. The side elevation has similar windows and two doors, each with four raised and fielded panels and two flush panels.
