Description

19 High Street is an early 18th-century shop that may have been refronted in the early 19th century. It features painted brick construction and a hipped slate roof with a rear stack. The building stands three storeys high and has three bays, with two additional bays facing Castle Square. There are four hung sash windows flanking two blind windows, all set in cambered gauged brick arches with stone cills at both floor levels. The shop front, dating from the late 19th or early 20th century, includes windows that extend to the elevation facing Castle Square.
