1, Post Office Lane

No. 1 Post Office Lane is an early 19th-century house and shop located in Wisbech. It is constructed from local brown brick and features a slate roof with a rendered plinth. The building stands three storeys tall. On the second floor, there are three twelve-paned hung sash windows with wooden frames set in cambered gauged brick arches. The first floor has three similar windows, but these are in segmental arches. The entrance is on the left side and is framed by a continuous moulding leading to a round-headed wooden architrave with panelled reveals. The door is half-glazed and panelled, with patterned glazing bars above a blind fanlight. The shop window consists of two lights with shaped heads and spandrels, divided and flanked by slender shafted mullions.
