Description
22 Fore Hill is a 16th-century timber-framed and plastered house featuring a jettied upper storey. It has been significantly restored and altered in the 20th century and is part of the Royal Standard Public House. The building has two storeys and attics, with a two-window range that includes 20th-century easements designed in a period style, featuring leaded lights. The first-storey windows are oriel bays topped with small tiled gables, while the ground storey has small shop windows. The roof is tiled and includes two gabled dormers. This property is part of a group that includes Nos 20 to 28 (even), No 28A, and Nos 9, 11, and 15 to 25 (odd).
