Description
Archer House is an 18th-century brick house, now covered in cement render on the front. It has two storeys, attics, and cellars, with a five-window range. At the rear, there is a two-storey wing that extends north, featuring a two-window range. The windows are double-hung sashes with glazing bars set in plain reveals. The central entrance is a six-panel door topped by a semi-circular fanlight with fan glazing, framed by a wooden doorcase with pilasters and an open pediment, accessed by steps with iron railings. The roof is tiled and includes an ornamental stucco frieze under the eaves, along with three large 19th-century gabled dormers. Archer House, along with Nos 17, 19, and No 21 (Vineyard Lodge), forms a group.
