Description
Starlight Cottage is a late 16th or early 17th century cottage located on Saxon Street in Woodditton. It is timber framed and was originally plastered with deep boarded eaves under a plain tile roof. A ridge stack has rebuilt upper courses, and there’s a painted brick plinth. The cottage was originally a two-unit plan, although a service bay was likely demolished. A modern single-storey extension to the north now obscures the original lobby entry. The street elevation features two windows with four panes of glass, set within a gable. Internally, there are two rebuilt inglenook hearths, exposed floor frames, and wall framing with large curved tension braces. Historic records from 1953 note the property.
