Description
Lensfield Cottage is a late 18th century, early 19th century timber-framed cottage situated on the east side of High Street, Cheveley. The cottage has a red brick ridge stack, which has been rebuilt. A thatched roof covers the property, and it comprises a single storey and attic. It features three casement dormer windows in the attic and three ground floor windows with four-centred arches containing leaded lights. A boarded door provides access on the east side. The interior has been altered, with boxed ceiling beams and some exposed timber framing incorporating reused materials. The building was noted in the Royal Commission on Historical Monuments (Cambs) records in 1952.
