Description
This is a 17th-century house located at 137 High Street in Cheveley. It features a plaster panel dated '1756' above the main entrance. The building is timber framed and plastered, with some decorative pargetting. It has a steeply pitched slate roof, a rebuilt ridge stack, and an end stack on the north side. The house is two storeys high with a three-unit plan. On the first floor, there are three two-light casement windows with leaded lights, and on the ground floor, there are three similar three-light casement windows. The entrance includes a six-panel door that is raised and fielded. Inside, the ceiling beams are cross framed and stop-chamfered.
