Description
The Old Farmhouse is a house dating from the early 16th century. It has a substantial timber frame that is plastered and features a thatched roof. There is a local brick stack with grouped diagonal shafts. The building is one storey and has an attic, with a three-unit plan that includes an open hall and a west gable that jetties out. The south-facing facade has two casement dormer windows and two attic casement windows, along with five ground floor casement windows. There is a modern thatched brick porch with a boarded door. Inside, the house has exposed stop-chamfered ceiling beams, 17th century inglenook hearths with clunch jambs, roll moulded inserted ceiling beams in the hall, and exposed wall frames.
