Description
Brook Stud Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 18th century, with later extensions added to the southeast. The building is timber framed and plastered, featuring rebuilt early 19th century red brick gables and a flint rear wing. It has a plain tile roof, with a red brick ridge stack and an end stack, as well as a brick plinth. The farmhouse includes two hung sash dormer windows, four twelve-paned hung sash windows on the first floor, and three similar windows on the ground floor. The entrance features a six-flush-panelled door set in a moulded wooden frame, topped by a shallow Tuscan portico. Inside, there is an original closed string staircase with turned balusters, and the rear kitchen wing contains a sealed cooking hearth and a baking oven in the bakehouse.
