3/49 Brook Stud Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Early C18 and later extended to south-east. Timber framed and plastered with rebuilt early C19 red brick gables, and flint rear wing. Plain tile roof. Red brick ridge stack and end stack. Brick plinth. Two hung sash dormer windows, four, first floor twelve-paned hung sash windows and three similar ground floor windows. Six-flush-panelled door in moulded wooden frame with shallow Tuscan portico. Interior. Original closed string staircase with turned balusters, rear kitchen wing with sealed cooking hearth, baking oven in bakehouse. RCHM (Cambs, notes), 1953.
