Description
60-68 Market Street is a pair of late 18th century houses made of buff-colored gault brick, with a stuccoed front and rusticated stucco quoins. The buildings stand three storeys high, with attics and cellars, featuring a window arrangement of two pairs, with double-hung sash windows that have glazing bars and plain reveals. The doorways are adorned with semi-circular fanlights, deep reveals, and reeded semi-circular arched architraves, accessed by steps with iron railings. A raised stucco band runs between the ground and first storeys. There is a central passageway that includes a semi-circular fanlight and a rusticated stucco surround. The roofs are double-pitched and covered with old Cambridgeshire tiles. The houses may contain an earlier structural core.
