Description
This is a house located at 27 Lynn Road, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of gault brick and features a slate roof with a brick stack on the left side. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a two-window range of 6/6 sash windows set under gauged segmental arches. The ground floor has a similar 2/2 sash window and a doorway to the right. The doorway is framed by a moulded doorcase with a flat hood, leading to a six-panel door with glazed upper panels. A two-light flat-roofed dormer is present in the attic. Inside, there is a stick baluster staircase that leads from the first floor to the attic. A ground-floor fireplace, dated 1846, features initials belonging to the Ellingham family, although it may have been brought in from elsewhere.
