Description

This is an early 19th century house located on the south side of High Street, Somersham. The building is constructed of gault brick, with a low-pitched slate roof, boarded and panelled eaves, and an internal chimney stack. It is two storeys high.

The north elevation features a four-window range of hung sashes with glazing bars, set within cambered, gauged brick arches on the first floor. The ground floor has four slightly recessed bays with similar hung sashes. A double-recessed, semi-circular headed fanlight with glazing bars is above the entrance on the west elevation. This is protected by an original cast iron screen, featuring four slender reeded columns supporting a frieze with a geometrical design. A cast iron porch with a gabled slate roof is present on the east elevation.

Inside, there is a staircase of two flights with a moulded rail and square section balusters.
