Description

No. 57 on High Street is a mid-19th century house and shop constructed from gault brick. It features a low-pitched slate roof and stands two storeys tall. The building has flat arches above two hung sash windows and one sealed central window opening. There is a segmental-headed arch leading to a carriageway, which has plank doors. The original mid-19th century shop front and entry are intact, showcasing shared architraves with pilasters and scroll brackets supporting the entablature. The shop window and the upper half of the door retain their original glazing bars.
