Description
No. 3 Chequers Lane is a former public house, known as Chequers, dating from the 18th century. The building is constructed of brick, with a plastered upper storey and painted brick on the ground storey. It has been renovated in the 20th century. The structure is two storeys high, featuring a five-window range on the first storey, with some horizontal sliding sashes that include glazing bars. The ground storey has a six-window range, fitted with 20th-century casements also featuring glazing bars. The south part of the roof is tiled, while the north part, which was originally tiled, is now covered with corrugated iron.
