Description

This is an early 19th century house, rendered in stucco and designed in the Gothic style. It is three storeys high and has a symmetrical facade with panelled end pilasters. The upper two storeys have a two-window range on the second storey and a single window range on the first storey. The windows are double-hung sashes with Gothic arched glazing. The second-storey windows are set in plain reveals with hood moulds, while the first-storey window is a five-light bay with a cornice. The ground floor has been altered with a 20th-century shopfront. The roof is tiled. The building forms a group with other listed buildings in High Street, including The Almonry, its garden wall, The Sacristy Gate and Goldsmith’s Tower, and The College.
