Description

No 5 on High Street is an early 19th-century building made of plastered brick, featuring a parapet and a string course. It has two storeys and a two-window range, with double-hung sash windows that have single vertical glazing bars in cased frames. The ground storey includes an early 19th-century shop front with glazing bars and Ionic fluted pilasters. The roof is tiled. This building is part of a group of listed buildings on High Street, excluding No 2, which includes The Almonry, the wall to the gardens of The Almonry, the Painted Chamber, The Sacristy Gate, and Goldsmith's Tower, all of which are associated with The College.
