Description
The Bath Hotel, located at 1 Bene't Street, is a 17th-century building that was refronted in the 18th century. It has two storeys with attics, and the upper storeys project from the first floor level, featuring a parapet wall and applied wood slats that mimic half-timbered work. The façade includes three windows, with the ones on either side having three lights and hung sashes with glazing bars. The central door is adorned with panelled pilasters, scroll brackets, and a moulded cornice. The roof is tiled and features three hipped dormers. The interior has been modernized. The building is part of a group that includes Nos 2 to 6 (consecutive), as well as Nos 8 and 9.
