Description

No 5 Bene't Street is a building dating from the late 16th century to early 17th century, with a remodel around 1700. It stands three storeys tall and is constructed with a timber frame and plaster, topped with a tile roof. The upper floors project from the first floor level and are adorned with a modillioned eaves cornice. The building features two windows with flush frames and later sash designs, as well as two flat-topped dormers. The interior includes a staircase from around 1700 and other notable features. This property is part of a group that includes Nos 2 to 6 (consecutive) and Nos 8 and 9.
