Description
The Eagle Inn is a building located on Bene't Street, with its south wing dating from around 1600 and the east wing from the 19th century. It has been altered over time and serves as a courtyard inn situated behind Nos 6 and 8. The inn has two storeys and features a range of windows with attics, along with a first-floor open balustraded gallery supported by early 19th-century cast iron columns. The structure is constructed with brick and plastered timber framing, topped with a tile roof that includes three gabled dormers within the window range. The retention of the open gallery is a notable feature of the building.
