Description

Nos 6 and 8 on Bene't Street are an early 19th-century range of three-storey buildings with a parapet and a painted plaster front. No 6 features two windows without glazing bars, while No 8 has six windows with glazing bars. There is a narrow band at the first-floor cill level and below the parapet. A carriageway between the two properties leads to the Eagle Inn Courtyard. No 8 has a central doorcase with a wrought iron lamp bracket and contains one room with 18th-century fielded panelling. Nos 2 to 6 (consecutive), along with Nos 8 and 9, form a group.
