Description

The entrance to Number 4A on Bene't Street is an early 19th century structure. It stands three storeys tall with attics and is constructed of grey gault brick, featuring a stone band below the parapet and a slate roof. The façade includes three windows with glazing bars and attractive wrought iron grilles. There are remnants of an old shop front, which has reeded pilasters and has been adapted with modern plate glass windows, dating back to around 1825. Additionally, there is a fine wrought iron gate with a semi-circular overthrow. This entrance is part of a group that includes Numbers 2 to 6 (consecutive), as well as Numbers 8 and 9.
