Description

The Old Market Hall, formerly known as Woolmarket House, is a building from the 14th century that has undergone extensive later alterations and modernisation. The ground floor is open and supported by massive oak posts, featuring flat arch bracing, while the first floor is heavily joisted. The timber on the exterior at the first floor level is primarily from the 17th and 20th centuries. The building also has modern windows.
