Description

Hill House is a late 17th century house located on the east side of High Road in Horndon-on-the-Hill. It is constructed of red brick featuring flared headers and stands two storeys tall with attics beneath a red plain tile roof. The house has a five-window range, with double hung vertical sliding sashes that include glazing bars, although two of these windows are now blocked. The entrance features a six-panel door topped by a flat hood supported on fretted brackets, with a semi-circular fanlight above. A coved plaster eaves cornice adds to the architectural detail. At the rear, there are two hipped dormers and a lean-to structure.
