Description

No. 14 is an early 19th-century house located on the north side of Eye High Street. It features an ashlar front and a hipped roof covered with concrete tiles. The building has a moulded cornice and a parapet, along with a string course at floor level. It is composed of three bays, with the center bay slightly advanced and topped with a raised parapet. The windows are sashes with glazing bars set in plain architraves that include keyblocks and bracketed sills. A French window on the first floor opens onto a wrought iron balcony. Below, there is a round arched doorway with a keyblock and a semi-circular fanlight that has radial glazing bars, along with panelled reveals and a panelled and glazed door. At the rear, there is a modern wing. The property also includes wrought iron garden area railings in front, which are complemented by plain ashlar gate piers and end piers topped with cap stones.
