Description

This is an early 18th-century range of three houses located on the north side of High Street. The buildings are constructed of gault brick, with numbers 16 and 18 having a rendered finish. The roof is steeply pitched, made of Collyweston stone, and features coped gable ends and a moulded eaves cornice. The houses are two storeys high with an attic. Originally, there was a four-window range, although window arrangements have been altered. The first floor originally had cross mullion/transom windows; number 18 now has modern casements within rendered surrounds. The ground floor features bay windows – numbers 16 and 18 have modern bays, while number 20’s bay window is Victorian. Three hipped dormers with moulded cornices light the attic. Brick end stacks are present. Numbers 18 and 20 have 19th-century pilastered doorways, and number 16 features a side entrance.
