Description

This is an 18th-century former inn on the south side of High Street. It is constructed of whitewashed brick with a steeply pitched roof of Collyweston stone, featuring coped gabled ends and tumbled brickwork. A brick string course runs along the floor level. The building is two storeys high with an attic, and has a five-window front. It has 19th-century sash windows without glazing bars set in flush casing, and three 19th-century flat-roofed dormers. The doorway is located to the right of the centre and contains reeded pilasters, a broken pediment with a semi-circular fanlight, panelled reveals, and a panelled door. An elliptical arched carriageway is on the left, with reeded pilasters and panelled double doors. Brick end and ridge stacks are present.
