Description
Nos 3 and 5 Northbridge Street are two houses dating from the mid-19th century, likely built around an earlier structure. They are constructed of mottled red brick with yellow brick dressings and feature a tiled roof. The buildings have a three-room plan and stand two storeys tall. On the ground floor, there is a small shop window on the left-hand side, flanked by simple moulded pilasters and a cornice. The remaining two ground floor windows and all three first floor windows are designed with mullions and transoms. There are two doorways, each topped with flat hoods supported by cut brackets; the left-hand door is part-glazed, while the right-hand door is a plank door. The houses have one red brick multiple ridge stack and another red brick stack on the right-hand gable. They are included for their group value.
