Description
A pair of houses dating from around 1800, with later additions and alterations. The houses are built of red brick with a slate roof, featuring prominent ridge stacks to the left and centre, and an internal end stack to the right. They are two storeys and an attic, with a dentilled eaves cornice. The front of the building has four windows, featuring glazing bar sashes with segmental heads. Two 19th-century hip-roofed dormers are located to the left, and two prominent 20th-century flat-roofed dormers are to the right. The entrance to No. 8 (left) has a plain doorcase with a moulded hood supported on modillion brackets, and a 20th-century six-panel door. No. 10 (right) has a 20th-century half-glazed door, and a 20th-century shop window to the left, replacing an original sash window. The buildings are included on the list for their group value.
