Description

This is a house, later used as offices, dating from the early 19th century, with subsequent additions and alterations. The house is constructed of red brick on a sandstone ashlar plinth, and has a hipped slate roof with a central well and ridge stacks on either side. The front has two storeys, and a moulded stone eaves cornice. It features a three-window facade with glazing bar sashes, plain lintels, and projecting keystones. The central entrance has a moulded wooden doorcase with fluted convex pilasters, panelled reveals, and a bracketed hood, protecting a half-glazed door and a traceried rectangular fanlight. A late 19th-century gabled brick addition to the right is not considered to be of particular architectural importance.
